I am getting a expansion to my game and I am wondering which one to get. I mean both have good qualities about them.

I am a mainly PvPer, and I dont get to GvG often(I love big fights!). So ABing is great for me. I like Sins, and Ritualists too, both classes are important in PvP, also they are commonly requested in TA. Also with factions I can help my current guild with all the faction I win from the AB, and I like the PvE element they have. However its a older game, so the number of people who play have gone down, because everyone is playing Nightfall. I also like the maps I would play in.

Now Nightfall is also a contender b/c I think Paragons are cool, and Devishes are good runners and farmers. The Hero Battles are more like RTS (which I am a fan of) then PvP from what I have heard. It also have several important features like Heros, great PvP skills (Zb, Reversal of Damage, and several others). It has the majority of the GW population since it is the newest version.

I am leaning towards factions and but I can go either way, which one would you suggest?

Ive played through both, on 8 characters...I was neither a fan of the Rit or the Sin in general PvE play. I can say by far as a 98% PvE player nightfall is hands down 110% better than factions IMO.
Now, both have skills which would be very very valuable to a PvPer, and AB is nice as well when you are worn out from everything else...
I personally would choose nightfall over factions, just based on my preference of PvE.

If you're a casual PVPer than maybe... but only MAYBE factions is the way to go. Everyone else will be most likely highly disappointed by it. Casual and hardcore PVE Players didn't like it. Hardcore PVP Players didn't like it either. Factions just has loads less content and the bit of content it has discourages those that were happy for it (aka alliance battle - no alliances fighting).

If you want to engage in some higher quality PVP you'll need Nightfall due to it's vast selection of downright overpowered skills.

I would get Nightfall if you can only get 1 though, it's better all around IMO.

hmmm. That's a tough one.. I think NF gives better advantages (inscriptions, heros, more PvE content area wise.) But Factions has really nice environments, nice armor setup, Alliance Battles etc..

I would have to say PvE wise.. go with NF. If you can, get both.

I'm one of the few it seems who actually enjoyed Factions. I also appreciate the tremendous amount of time, thought, and detail put into that chapter. It's definitely not to be missed.

I'd say get Factions first, create a Rit char and run him through one of the faction storylines (kurzik or luxon), and then a sin and run him through the other, so you get the full effect.

By the time you're through you can start with Nightfall (though you'll keep coming back to Factions for the AB cause its fun) and then perhaps GW:EN will be out

Heroes are great and all, but I find Factions to be the overall "more fun game". I have chitloads more fun playing through the Canthan missions then those boring, dried-out Elonian missions which I play OVER and OVER again and didn't even really like them the first time through.

I am a casual PvPer, and I really like PvP over PvE, because I can kill things in my sleep when its PvE. Judging by the backgrounds of Faction it has a cooler enviroment, so perhaps I should go with Factions? Any other comments?

meh i liked proph best ^^ but out of those 2..... i would get NF because of heros and such. heros = much better pve play imo.

Factions is definitely best. It's not just for PvP either, I loved the PvE aspect of it much more than Nightfall. Nightfall is just slow and boring to play through...

And yeah... you're going to have a hard time making a decision based on the opinions here.

Everyone has their favourite, and the debate of which one is better is never-ending.

To play any serious pvp at all you need all three campaigns anyway, so it really comes down to the pve aspect.
And Nightfall's is better than Factions'
